You can skip the line on Election Day and vote by mail

Michigan Bureau of Elections is asking us to mail an AV application to all registered voters in our community.  You might be asking if this mailing indicates our August and November statewide elections will be conducted entirely by mail. At this point, there are no plans to eliminate precinct-based voting this year.  We will be keeping an eye on evolving health and safety requirements and guidelines at the state and federal level and will inform voters every step of the way.

An application to vote must be received before a ballot will be issued. We will never automatically send ballots. We will automatically send applications.  A dual application will be used for this primary/general election allowing you to apply for both elections with just one application.

  • If you wish to vote in person at the precinct or have already filled out the application, disregard this application and don't return it to the clerk's office.
If you have any questions about the process (248) 682-1440.

The Census Will Never Ask Certain Questions

During the 2020 Census, the Census Bureau will never ask you for:

  • Your Social Security number.
  • Money or donations
  • Anything on behalf of a political party.
  • Your bank or credit card account numbers.

If someone claiming to be from the Census Bureau contacts you via email or phone and asks you for one of these things, it's a scam, and you should not cooperate . For more information, visit Avoiding Fraud and Scams.
